Ashworths makes £13,000 donation to Sebastian’s Action Trust
Ashworths is a supporter of Sebastian’s Action Trust, a charity which provides support and practical assistance to the families of children with life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses. One of the main ways that the Trust provides that support is through The Bluebells, the UK’s first purpose built respite home where families can get away from the tough routine of clinical care and spend time together in a house boasting a swimming pool, sensory room, cinema, art suite, music room, games room, sensory garden, mini golf course, adventure play area and three acres of open space.
On 5 May 2016 a fantastic extension to The Bluebells was officially opened by Mr Nigel Atkinson Esq, HM Lord Leiutenant of Hampshire, and John Inverdale, Honorary President of Surrey Wooden Spoon. The construction of the new extension was the ideal opportunity to install new solar panels on the roof of the facility, and Ashworths were delighted to fund the £13,000 acquisition cost of the panels which are expected to knock thousands of pounds off the running costs of The Bluebells for many years to come.
