The Stamp Duty Land Tax Relief for first time buyers buying a property between £125,001 and £250,000 comes to an end on 24th March 2012.
First time buyers buying a property at a price between £125,001 and £250,000 who complete before 24th March 2012 will not have to pay the usual 1% of purchase price in Stamp Duty Land Tax.
Purchases completing after this date will be subject to Stamp Duty Land Tax at 1% of the purchase price even if contracts have been exchanged before that date.
